LAHORE: Pakistan Peoples Party Central Punjab President Qamar Zaman Kaira on Monday said Lahore CCPO Umer Sheikh’s statement about the motorway gang-rape victim was unacceptable, adding that the government should have removed him soon after the tragic incident.
How law would be respected in the country where the Constitution isn’t respected, he remarked.
According to details senior PPP leader Qamar Zaman Kaira while talking to media in Kasure said that the present government has completely failed, the incident of abuse on the motorway is shameful and the incidents in Kasur were also a cause of shame. He added that Punjab Chief Minister Usman was laughing while saying that a committee had been formed on the issue at time a time when questioned had been posed to him on the serious issue.
Referring to the Zainab case which had received attention at national international levels, he said a horrific incident had also occurred in the past in Kasur.
He said that the slogans chanted by Prime Minister Imran Khan and the 100-day plan had failed while today the largest province has become an example of mismanagement.
The PPP leader further said that the Chief Minister Punjab was playing a committee committee while the government should have removed this officer immediately. The Chief Minister Punjab was being questioned and he was laughing and saying that he had formed a committee.
