Govt shown a poor strategy on Kashmir, says Ch Manzoor Ahmad

LAHORE :Pakistan Peoples Party observed black day on Wednesday to express solidarity with the Kashmiri brethren and condemn the illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir by India.

In a news conference here at PPP Punjab office, PPP Punjab general secretary Chaudhry Manzoor Ahmad said that PPP founder Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto had stated that Pakistan would fight thousand years for Kashmir and PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari raised the slogan of plebiscite in Jammu and Kashmir under the resolutions of United Nations.

Ch Manzoor said that Indian prime minister Narendra Modi illegally and unconstitutionally sieged Jammu and Kashmir which was also violation of Shimla Pact.

He said that final decision about J&K would be made by the citizens of Kashmir through the right of plebiscite, adding that division ofKashmir could never be accepted.

There is nothing new in the map issued by the government of Pakistan. Questions are being raised about the silence of the Prime Minister.

He said that the government has shown weakness. There is nothing in the new map.

The government has completely failed to take up the issue of Indian atrocities on Kashmiris at the international level and could not get even 17 votes to present a resolution against India in the United Nations, he added.

Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Shaheed defeated India at the United Nations, the government is saying that we have made India a victim of diplomatic isolation. It is an isolation that we did not get 17 votes? He asked.

Chaudhry Manzoor said that after failing on the issue of Kashmir, the government talks of Governor Raj in Sindh.

Later, a protest was organized outside Lahore Press Club on Black Day organized by PPP Lahore. The PPP camp was set up outside the Lahore Press Club in Lahore. Addressing the meeting, Central Punjab General Secretary Chaudhry Manzoor Ahmed said that the present government had lost the Kashmir case.

Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto fought the best case of Kashmir by the United Nations, the present government reached a song and a minute of silence.

Addressing the protest camp participants, Chaudhry Manzoor said that the rivers of Punjab contained the blood of Kashmiris. We salute the Kashmiris. Criticizing the government, he said that the rulers had shown a poor strategy on Kashmir.

Addressing the speakers, PPP Lahore President Aziz-ur-Rehman Chen and others condemned Indian barbarism.

PPP workers said that the present government should adopt an aggressive strategy instead of mediating on Kashmir.

General Secretary Lahore Israr Butt Allama Yusuf Awan, Dr. Ahsan Masood Asif Nagra Shahbaz Mehmood Bhatti and other participants also attended.
